Wendi Rigsby's Cancer Battle

Wendi Rigsby is a loving wife and mother of two precious girls, ages 3 and 12. She was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer in November 2020. She has tumors in various locations of her body that are weakening her bones and causing severe pain and disability. She was hospitalized with a fractured pelvis for 10 days and is now receiving radiation treatments and physical therapy. She will most likely have to have chemotherapy. She has to use a walker to get around and is unable to cook, complete household tasks, or drive.
Wendi's devoted husband Robert has taken approximately 6 weeks off work without pay, initially to be with her in the hospital and now to take care of her, their children, their dogs, and their home. They are having to drive back and forth between Dyersburg, TN and Jackson, TN, a distance of 80 miles round-trip, almost daily for Wendi's treatments. She also has to go to Nashville for an appointment with a sarcoma specialist. Fortunately, the family's medical insurance covers most medical expenses. However, without Robert's income, they need help paying for basic living expenses and transportation costs. Wendi also needs a more supportive chair to sit in at home.
