Wendy fights Barre-Lieou syndrome
Donation protected
Hi my name is Heidi and I'm asking for help for my sister Wendy. She has been about 80% couch bound for the last 4 yrs. Barre-Lieou is a strange and rare syndrome that has taken her verve for life and has left her feeling disregarded and disbelieved by so many professionals. Very few have even heard of it and those who have don't have any solid answers. Wendy has started a support page on FB which has grown to 179 followers. Folks from around the world reach out to share experiences and give advice. So far the many treatments have offered little to no relief but there is hope! Hope in the form of Stem Cell treatments. The treatments are offered at a facility in Costa Rica, The Stem Cell Transplant Institute. https://stemcellstransplantinstitute.com/ Stem Cell treatments rebuild and regenerate tendons and ligaments as well as muscles and bones . In the case of Barre-Lieou syndrome the ligaments become too laxed to support the weight of the head and brain. Of course this treatment has a high cost $30,000.00 not covered by OHIP. Please help Wendy as she pioneers the fight against Barre-Lieou and raises awareness to help support others. We humbly thank you for ANY support you can offer.
