Wendy Marie Walsh

Hi, our names are Amanda Brandt & Heather Walsh, daughters of Wendy, age 56. We are asking for donations to help assist us with final bills and funeral/memorial arrangements for our mother.

Story of Wendy-

In August 2022, Wendy was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer. Not only was the cancer in her lungs, but it was also in her bones, neck, collar bone, spine and throat. She completed two rounds of chemotherapy and went into remission on January 10, 2023. Wendy continued with immunotherapy for several months. On May 20, 2023, we received the bad news stating the cancer traveled to her brain, stage 3. Wendy completed 8 rounds of radiation and she handled it like a champ. On August 24, 2023, we got wonderful news that the brain tumors shrunk. We found out on September 1, 2023 the evil cancer returned and had spread all over. Cancer Care suggested contacting Hospice.

Wendy is still fighting the toughest fight. Today, September 18, 2023, at 2am, Wendy was given 72 hours to live. Please lift her up in your thoughts and prayers during one of the toughest fights. We are overwhelmed with gratitude to the many friends and family who have upheld us with their love and prayers during this difficult time, as well as the countless nurses, doctors, and the who treated her with unfailing dignity and compassion.

Wendy has had a successful life with raising us 2 girls as a single mother and finishing her college degree in Accounting at RCC. Wendy has worn multiple hats in her life with Veteran in the Navy, Single Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandma, management, and accounting.

Wendy had no Will or life insurance policy so this is our last option.

We will provide funeral arrangements and services once we have them set up but we would appreciate a small donation to assist us, this fundraiser has been set up to provide us girls the funds for Wendy's remaining bills and funeral arrangements.
