Wendy Noel’s Medical Expenses

Hi Folks, I am still here.  It is almost two years since my diagnosis of stage 4 non small cell lung cancer, and it has been an up and down journey to say the least. Today is the first day I have driven my car since radiation at the end of April.  What radiation did was fracture my spine, and bring pain to my body for May, June and July.  I have been on morphine, and am at the point where I likely will be off it in a couple of weeks.  Meaning, I am no longer in pain!  My spine unfortunately is a little twisted from having cancer in it, as well as the fracture, and I will be needing physio for sure, among other treatments.   I am walking with a walker, or a couple of sticks, and without anything around my condo.  So, improvement is happening, though slow.   At the moment, I am getting counselling for free, as well as Sound therapy with Ronaye Ireland.  I see a naturopath, and generally, with supplements and her doctor's fee, I leave with a bill of at least $300.00.  I would love to get more body work done, but usually am looking at $120.00 per treatment.

Who knew cancer was so expensive?  (Thank God I live in Canada and not the USA)  However, when Ronaye proposed a Go Fund Me campaign to help with the costs, I did not say no.  I remember in the first year someone suggested it to me, and I was resistant. I thought, " I won't need money from others to get well, I just need to open to the love that  surrounds me, and the healing will take place. " Well, it's not that I still don't believe that love is an essential factor in healing, perhaps the most important factor, it's that I would probably benefit from an array of healing modalities. And with limited funds, that array is pretty small.

I have received so much support from family and friends, through driving, making soups, goodies, giving my feet massages, reiki , prayers, and holding my hand and heart when I'm scared and don't want to be alone with it all.  I have also seen so many people for tea, and had many rich conversations from the heart.  And all of these have been invaluable and contribute to what my oncologist calls, my "stable" cancer.  I want more.  I want a complete remission or Radical Remission as the book attests, and not a 'stable' cancer that requires chemo and radiation and so on.   For me, to actualize that radical remission, I would like the freedom to choose healing modalities that speak to me.  And not be limited by money.  And that is the why behind the GO Fund Me Campaign.  If this request brings up resistance, please honor it. I want every contribution to this fund to have a Yes behind it.  (again, the healing factor of Love)
