Wendy Vasquez following Total Knee Replacement

As most of you know, my sister Wendy has been a hairstylist here in Corsicana for 29 years. She is the owner of Grit & Grace Hair Salon at 1105 N. 13th in Corsicana. Wendy is about to start the third week without being able to work after having a total knee replacement. Typically, this surgery is a 12 week recovery. Wendy is very hopeful to be back sooner, simply because the time away from the salon is very debilitating financially. She not only has to upkeep everything at home, but the shop also. This means two times all of the bills.

Wendy is usually up front, trying to help others where she can, whether it be through fundraisers, helping at church or anywhere she is needed, but finds it difficult to ask for help herself, as we all do.

If you’re able to help, any amount will be greatly appreciated at this trying and difficult time in her life. I know the holidays are a hard time for us all.
