Wendy's Gofundme

On July 20th my mom Wendy Gast fell at least 15 feet off a deck onto concrete while painting the outside of the railing slats. She was Life-Flighted to Doctors Medical Center, where she has been diagnosed with at least 15 broken bones, has undergone 3 surgeries, had blood loss, CAT scans, x-rays, and multiple MRIs.  She is trooper and is on the mend but has a long road to recovery ahead of her. She has multiple broken bones including her pelvis, including a dislocation with her femur, her back from L1 through L5, her neck (C1), ribs, and her skull. My dad (Sean Gast) and her children have been by her side for the last two weeks. It is where we want to be, but it hasn't been easy as we live an hour and a half away from the hospital and my brothers live 3+ hours away. The expenses are mounting, gas, lodging, food and medical bills not covered by insurance. My dad is a Captain on a Stanislaus National forest hand crew with the US Forest Service. This is one of the most busy times for my dad right now to be fighting fire and earning money, instead he is at the hospital, not to mention that my mom is not able to work for an extended timeframe.
