Wendys fight is our fight!

Hello, my name is Tianna and as many of you may know already but for those who don't, my mom (Wendy) has been diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It all started in December of 2022, she went into the emergency room for health concerns and since then had to under go multiple biopsies and blood work which was about 2/3 times a week for several weeks causing her to work less hours. After receiving her diagnosis the doctors gave her, her first treatment plan which was 3 weeks of radiation which caused her to be off work completely! During those weeks I've personally seen the harsh change In her, yet she continued to fight and never gave up and on March 7, 2023 she completed her first round of treatment! Her spirits were high and it was the happiest I've seen her In a few months, however March 9, 2023 she had yet another doctors appointment and was told that her tumor did shrink BUT the cancer in her blood is still considered aggressive and to prepare herself for her next round of treatment which is Chemo in April. She also was told it is best for her not to go back to work for a while given what she's been through already and what's ahead of her (its the unknown thats scary). She's exhausted she NEEDS the time off but again if you know my mom then you know she's been a hard worker her entire life! She's never been the one needing help but always been the one giving! She has a heart of gold and has been in this community over 20 years serving alot of you your most favorite dishes! I am asking that us as a community can come together and help ease this financial burden on my mom so her main focus can be her health.
