Wendy's Prayer Warriors

It is with the deepest sadness that I update this post to let you all know that our sweet Wendy Lynn went home to her Father early this morning. Please turn your thoughts and prayers to her Mom, her husband Steve, their children and their grand babies. We appreciate all of the support pouring in from so many who loved our Wendy so much.

My name is Rebecca and I have spent my entire life admiring and aspiring to be more like my cousin Wendy Lynn. A devout Christian since she was at least 5 years old, she loves everybody with her whole heart. Wendy is always the first to offer help and pray for others in need. From as early as 10 years old when her sister Buffy and I would sneak out of the house for a silly thrill, Wendy would sit guard at the window sill with her bible, hands clasped together and eyes closed, praying for our safe return. Wendy’s devotion to the Lord, her family, her church, her Sunday school children and many friends is evident by all who have the privilege of knowing her. Wendy has overcome a lot of struggles in her life and was recently given the hardest challenge yet. Wendy suffered an infection in her bowels over the weekend and has undergone two separate surgeries, within 36 hours, to save her life. Her recovery will be long and hard and we all plan to support her however we can along the way. While we believe the costs of care will be covered by other means (insurance, etc.), we know that her time away from work will result in a substantial loss of income. 100% of the funds raised here will go toward her monthly bills while she focuses on recovery. As one of her biggest fans and prayer warriors said to me earlier today, “Wendy changes the world with her laugh, and she has a lot more laughing to do!” Please continue to pray and if you can, give what you can to help allow Wendy the much-needed time she needs to focus on her healing and recovery.
