Medical Expenses for Jess & Bray Close

If you know Jessie Close, you know she is a no nonsense, go-getter. She is also the first one in line if someone needs help. Her daughter Brayleigh has the same great qualities. Now, they need our help.

On Thursday, September 14, Brayleigh was riding on a bus headed to a volleyball game. Their bus was involved in an accident which left it on its side in a ditch of water. Brayleigh suffered a broken vertebrae in her neck and will need ongoing medical appointments and rehab. The doctors are deciding whether or not they will do surgery.

Unfortunately, this occurred just as Jess was on her way home to pack to go to Mayo clinic in Rochester. She has been experiencing a yet undiagnosed neurological medical event. The effects are severely limiting her mobility & speech, and are leaving her in immense pain. It’s clear to the physicians, therapists, and Jess that this is going to be a long road. Funds raised through this GoFund Me will go directly to covering ongoing medical costs, costs related to lost income and travel expenses for both Jess & Bray. We will add more updates as we have them.

Jess is the Tournament Director and Administrative person for GF Youth Hockey. She has been with the association since its first day, working tirelessly to serve the kids and families who love the game. She cares deeply about growing the game of hockey in North Dakota and Minnesota.
