We’re going back to El Salvador!

Brie and I are going back to El Salvador this year! Last year, we felt like God was calling us to be a part of this missions team, and it was an unbelievable experience from start to finish. My top 3 highlights from the trip were:

1) The home visits, where we connected, prayed for, and served many families living on Isla La Calzada. We took hygiene products, toys, clothes, etc., and had amazing conversations with many people. We also saw an older woman place her faith in Jesus for the first time!

2) Connecting with the locals. I got to spend a lot of time building relationships with the community by playing games with kids, attending their church services and prayer nights, and spending time with the men of the island gathering coconuts, transporting sand for building projects, etc.

3) Serving in whatever way is necessary! We served in so many different ways, from painting a mural at their local church to painting desks and landscaping at the new school on the island.

As Brie and I have prayed about the upcoming trip back to El Salvador, we are realizing the importance of continuing to build relationships and serve the community of Isla La Calzada, so we are going back this year to do just that!
