Wertz Family needs help due to Covid

 

 

It's been an extremely hard time for my brother Tony and his wife's family (Bridgett, her brother, and her mom). They all have come down with Covid, and none of them have the emergency funds and they are all would love your help with covering some of these emergency funds.

 

About 2 weeks ago, Tony's mom got diagnosed with trachea cancer. She's doing ok and is starting chemo on Tuesday and the good news here is that it is very curable.

 

Last Friday (September 10th), Bridgett's mother went into the hospital with covid. On Sunday (September 12th), Bridgett went into the hospital with covid as well. She has been regressing and has been on every different oxygen machine they have in there, including their BIPAP machine. She's been on the BIPAP machine since yesterday (September 17th) and it's been maxed out. Therefore, they have now called in the doctor and now have placed Bridgett on a ventilator. Now we don't know how long this could be for. It could be as little as a couple of hours, a couple of days, a couple of weeks, or could even be a couple of months. But they wanted to do it before she went into crisis mode. Which she was heading that way. If she would have gotten there, they don't think she would pull through. So this is the best option they have. She would be starting the vent around 9 pm (September 18th). She has been able to send Tony a couple of texts and I can tell that she is very stressed and scared. And Tony is not allowed to be there with her when they do it.

 

 

Tony hasn't been able to work since last week as well due to his positive Covid test. He'll be out from work for a bit longer, and with all the stress of holding the family together, he may not be able to return to work easily or soon.
