Medical and living expenses (Wes & Brandi)

Hi, my name is Christine and I am starting a fundraiser to help my niece and future nephew.

My beautiful niece Brandi met the love of her life, Wes, in 2020 after he valiantly fought Acute Myeloid Leukemia (diagnosed in 2019) and was in remission. In 2021 they were engaged to be married.

The wedding is planned for the end of October this year. They have been working so hard preparing for their future together.

Last month Wes was admitted into the hospital when he was feeling ill and his finger turned black and was dying. He underwent surgery and many tests and remained in ICU. Sadly the tests confirmed that the Acute Myeloid Leukemia had returned. After Wes was stabilized he was transferred to Moffitt Cancer Center where his treatment was started, including chemotherapy. Wes was hospitalized for almost a month.

This should be a joyous time for Brandi and Wes and now he is once again fighting for his life.

I know Wes is strong and will fight with everything he’s got! Brandi and Wes have a tough time ahead. They already had to cancel their dream honeymoon because they will have to stay close to home for treatment. Wes is not able to work and they are struggling with one income. They are currently working with the Veteran’s Administration to get Wes on disability.

My heart breaks for these young people just starting their lives together. Please, if there is anything you can do to help them it would be greatly appreciated. It would be wonderful to take some of the financial stress off of their shoulders so they can concentrate on treatment for Wes.
