Help Wesam and her family find refuge outside of Gaza

I am Wesam, a mother of three children: Aisha, Asma and Bilal. Our life was as simple as any other family, full of small dreams and laughter, until the day everything turned upside down.

On the morning of October 7, I was getting my daughters ready to go to school. In one moment, everything around us shook, and rockets started falling like rain. My husband shouted: "We can't send the children to school!" From that day on, our lives changed forever. School stopped, food was cut off, and my children lost all their simple rights - education, play, safety, and even the house that was our only shelter.

But the biggest catastrophe happened on October 31, when shells fell on our house, and it was destroyed over our heads. I can relive those moments in excruciating detail: The rubble and dust covering our bodies, the screams of my children as they tried to escape, and the panic that will remain etched in our memory forever. We were rescued by ambulances, but everything was gone - our home, our safety, and even our little dreams that held us together.

We moved to my parents' house in the north for temporary shelter, but the war caught up with us again. We were bombed again and injured. We had no choice but to flee to the south, but we didn't find any safety. Hunger, fear, and siege became our daily companions, and there was nowhere we could find comfort or peace.

Today, I am writing to you with my only hope in my hands: To protect my children from this hell and give them a chance at the life they deserve. All I want is to escape this war and take refuge in a safe country, where we can start over and live in peace.

The money we raise will be used for travel costs, temporary shelter, and basic needs so that we can get back on our feet.
