Weslan Park Project

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to update the Weslan Park through the support of Kiwanis Foundation of Wisconsin Rapids Inc, and any donation will help make an impact.

Weslan Park used to be a subdivision owned park, but it has changed hands and become a park that is owned by the township of Grand Rapids.  Funding from the township has helped with some maintenance of the current facilities (fresh paint on the fencing posts and benches as well as replacement of broken brackets on the swings), but the ability to enhance the park is not a reality that can be supported by the township. 

Weslan Park regularly hosts kids from the neighborhood that organize their own kickball and volleyball games.   It has also been used to host area T-Ball and Youth Soccer teams for practices.  We want this to become a place where the community can come and enjoy the outdoors, be active as a family, and share a meal with friends.  There is potential in this space for so much improvement and I'm asking your help to make these visions become a reality.

We are hoping to make the following improvements:
-replacement of curling chainlink fencing
-add walking paths
- a playground
- open shelter for family picnics complete with picnic tables
- adaptive swings
- a 1/2 court basketball court
