WESLEY SPENCER LELECA
Donation protected
This GoFundMe has been set up to assist in paying the costs of Wesley Leleca’s cremation & remembrance & to also create a lasting legacy of giving back to those suffering from epilepsy, autism, adhd, amblyopia & the loss of a child.
On the 19th of November Wesley celebrated the day his life began with his family at home as he always did & on the 24th of November Wesley suffered an epileptic seizure which stopped his heart beating & caused irreversible brain damage. With the CPR which his mother performed & the amazingly quick response from local emergency services Wesley’s heart came back to us but his beautiful brain only came back long enough for him to gather his family around him & help his mum see all the ways he would never leave in body & in spirit. On the 27th of November at 3.20pm Wesley Leleca was pronounced brain dead but he did not die, because of his heart he gave life instead. 2 children are alive because Wesley gave them his liver, 2 adults are alive because Wesley gave them his kidneys & 1 incredibly lucky child is doing exceptionally well because they have the gift of Wesley’s perfect beautiful heart. In addition within the next 2wks he will give sight to more than one person & in the coming weeks, months & years he will provide skin for burns victims, tendons for muscular injuries & save numbers that cannot be counted, through his tissue donations & research.
Wesley is not forever 14 my Child’s heart still beats & he will live within the bodies of others for generations. He figured out how to stay with his family forever & still wander the earth to give & share himself for eternity. In honour of Wesley I wish to create a lasting legacy of giving. I wish for people to live because he lived, for people to receive support for disabilities that he had to endure, for people suffering this same loss of a child to have the chance to create memories that can never be replaced, for people grieving to have the kind of support that helps them feel happiness & love for the life that was lived more than they feel the pain. He put his heart into his mother’s hands for a reason. He was too much energy for one body, one person, one family, one place, one purpose. He left his heart in my hands because he knew I still needed to hold him, his family still needed to hold him, but he knew the hands that held him his whole life better than anyone & he knew those hands would always give & give & give even if they were empty. My hands, our hands they will never be empty, they will always be filled with the love we carry for him in our own hearts & the others that came & will come before & after his own. Sharing one’s heart is the greatest gift that you can give because what comes from it is endless just like your energy my son.
I never would have thought one could be so happy & proud whilst suffering such an immeasurable loss but I am, because my child will forever be laughing, giving & living. We all love you my happy little Vegemite & I know you will never be far away My WesWild ❤️
A price cannot be put on what will be shared & given by Wesley so I have used his birthday to set his price 19/11/2009
