West Hamblen County Fire Department

As some of you know, Brian and I had a fire at our home on Thursday night. While we are so incredibly blessed that we didn’t sustain more damage than we did and that the fire was contained to the camper and detached garage, it would have been SO much worse were it not for our VOLUNTEER fire department. We weren’t home when our camper burst into flames and the fire department responded and actually beat us home. Because all of these men and women VOLUNTEER their time and talents, they depend upon the donations from the community to operate. As a county resident we are dependent upon them for any fire emergency we may have. YOU DON’T THINK YOU WILL NEED THEM UNTIL YOU DO! While we can never put a price on all they did to protect our family that night, we hope by setting up this donation site, Brian and I are not only showing our gratitude, but also educating our friends on the importance and necessity of having a volunteer fire department in our area.
