Los Angeles has nearly 60,000 unhoused citizens. These are the people that Mayor Garcetti didn't mention until minute 23 of his 25 minute press conference regarding emergency measures being taken by the city. It's clear where the mayor's priorities lie and it is up to us as a community to help our neighbors. With no way to self-isolate and/or heal from this virus, our unhoused sisters and brothers are some of our city's most at-risk. Access to basic sanitation products can help combat the spread of bacteria within this vulnerable community.
You all filled our funding need of the first batch within several days. Seeing the enthusiasm for this project encouraged us to keep rolling so we have reopened the fundraiser with updated goals. We will be ramping up production to approximately 450-500 bottles. Our fundraising goal also includes preemptive funding for batch 3 when the time comes. This time we are partnering with Streetwatch LA giving us access to their established network of activists and distribution needs. We thank you again for support and your neighbors are healthier because of it.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Remember, an injury to one is an injury to all.
