West Salem Mission

The West Salem Mission is dedicated to spreading the Three Angels Messages to the Amish and plain people.

From the Pen of Andy Weaver...

I grew up Amish and loved the simple lifestyle, the community, strong family values etc... Often times though, I would reflect on my past with regrets and on my future with fear.

One day the Lord crossed my path and my life was forever changed. Instead of making and breaking promises to God I learned to trust in His promises. After wrestling with God for a few years, we did the unthinkable  - we became members of a different church. We love this gospel and the Seventh-day Adventist movement and have a burning desire to share this most beautiful truth with the Plain People and to form an Amish-Mennonite movement within the Seventh-day Adventist movement.

In 2015, we formed the West Salem Mission, believing that the Lord's hand was in it and that He would see us through.  In 2016, another Amish family was baptized and in 2018, four individuals were baptized. We now have seven (7) Amish families at the West Salem Mission, as well as individuals from the Amish and Mennonite faiths that visit us. Amongst the seven Amish families attending on a regular basis, there are more than 30 children under the age of 12. We are in contact with more Amish and Mennonites that have been looking for a movement such as this. Yes! We are excited, yet overwhelmed. Without the help of the Holy Spirit and support from God's people, this responsibility would have already crushed us.

We at the West Salem Mission invite you to partner with us in reaching the Plain People with present truth in such a time as this.  We have outgrown our old building and have moved forward in faith with a new building project.  Thus new building will serve as a Community Center and church and will, Lord willing, be the hub of a greater movement beyond West Salem, Ohio.  At this time, we have barely enough resources to get the roof on the new building. We are trusting that the Lord will provide as He has done thus far. We are expecting to spend about $275,000 by the time our new building is finished and up to code.

We desire to finish the work He has given us and to hasten the coming of our Redeemer and King. We ask that you prayerfully consider supporting the West Salem Mission as we endeavor, with your help, to reach out to my people.

If you are so moved to contribute towards the West Salem Mission, GoFundMe donations will be withdrawn and applied toward the building fund by Naomi Weaver, Treasurer of the West Salem Mission, unless otherwise specified.
