SmartBoard for Engaging Instruction

I've been a public school teacher for five years.  It was something that I had wanted to be since grade school and now that I am doing it, I can confidently call it my passion.  Within that time, I've forged many relationships with students in my mathematics classroom and engaged them in the content through a heavy reliance on technology.  In their eyes, the inherent meaningfulness of mathematics is made more evident when they interact with the subject through apps, animations, and other educational software that makes advanced concepts more accessible to understand.  Over these past five years, I have worked to find funding for technology such as iPads, Chromebooks, and calculator software.  However, the one most essential technological tool that the students overwhelmingly nominate as impactful on their mathematics education has been our Promethean Board (a brand of interactive whiteboard, otherwise known as a smart board).  This next school year starts a new chapter in my life and with that new chapter comes a new school where I'll be teaching.  I am looking to find the funding to purchase a Promethean Board for my next classroom so I can bring my future students the same enriching mathematics education that I have been able to deliver to the hundreds of students I have taught thus far.  Your contributions to this project will impact hundreds of high school students for many years to come.
