Daniel’s mother.

I have just experienced a parents worst nightmare being told your child has had a traumatic head injury and requires life saving surgery. Bad enough if this occurred at home but it’s happened in a foreign country. This date the 2/8/23 is forever engraved in my mind, as I not only thought I might lost my son, but I wouldn’t be able to celebrate his 30th birthday which the incident occurred on.

daniel sustained a huge blood clot on the front of his brain which was causing pressure and pushing his brain down on the base of his skull. Causing him to lose consciousness and the ability to breathe and have any basic skills. documents were signed without speaking to any doctors in Sydney and life saving evacuation craniotomy and cranioplasty was preformed. I arrived in Bali at 10.30 on the 2nd of august went straight to the hospital and there we have been with Daniel’s dear friend berks who has been a tremendous help and support. I have just signed papers to allow doctors to preform more surgery on his face to relieve pressure on his optic nerve to stop any possible potential blindness. This surgery will be performed this afternoon. 

our hands are tied as in Bali no surgery is done without payment first, but even if it is life threatening. We are now up to over 150,000 Australian dollars and the bills will continue to rise the longer he stays. Any form of support would be greatly appreciated for Daniel’s recovery to keep back home safe to Australia.
