The Crocodile Employee Fund
Donation protected
Here we are! In The Crocodile's 29 years of existence, creating a home away from home for musicians and performers, who would have guessed that it would be a global pandemic that forced our doors closed? The impact of this mandatory closure on our independently operated business has been deep and devastating, but the most pressing need we must address is for our staff. The Crocodile's employees are the beating pulse of our venue. They are the people who have dedicated themselves to hosting amazing artists and musicians and managing the safety and hospitality of concert attendees like you. Bartenders, stage managers, the production team, box office, sound engineers, lighting designers, kitchen staff--a workforce of nearly 50 full and part-time employees--have been laid off and have lost a significant portion of their annual income that won't be made whole by unemployment.
...So friends and foes, if you would like to show your solidarity with our staff, we ask that you donate to this employee relief fund. 100% of the net earnings from this campaign will benefit The Crocodile's employees.
And one more note, curious what else you can do to help save venues and Seattle's nightlife economy?
Call your Sen Patty Murray, Sen Maria Cantwell & your U.S. Rep at 202.224.3121 and tell them about an important moment in your life that you've spent in a music venue and that in order for music and nightlife to survive in Washington State, we need immediate government support:
• Cash Assistance (Not Loans!)
• Rent Forgiveness & Reduction
• Financial Payments & Assistance for the Workforce
• Tax Relief
• Insurance Relief & Revisions
