Dozer's Medical Fund
Donation protected
Thank you for taking the time to read Dozer's story, I just wanted to share how much he means to me and my family.
Dozer is a 6 month old pit bull puppy who came into our family 3 months ago after losing my 16 year old Chow Chow, Cujo. Cujo used to be the protector of the house and was loved dearly. After Cujo passed, I wanted another puppy to add to the family and at first sight, I knew Dozer was the one for us.
Currently, I am taking care of my 80 year old mother and she adores Dozer. Dozer adds happiness and joy to our lives, always energetic and playful. When he gets excited, he hops around like a bunny and full of life. Ever since Dozer came into the family, he's given me a reason to get up in the morning. He's given me a purpose and for that, he deserves the best love and care.
Today, Dozer accidentally got into my muscle relaxant medication and is currently undergoing treatment for Baclofen toxicity, which is fatal at this dose if not treated. So far, he is being monitored at Veterinary Specialty Hospital-North County with multiple ER veterinarians and a critical care specialist to ensure the best medical care. Because of my financial constraints, I am asking for donations to continue Dozer's medical care. He is currently hooked up to a ventilator, fluids, EKG monitoring, and will need to undergo dialysis to save his life, which has a good prognosis. Our veterinarians and staff are doing everything they can to support us and we just want Dozer to come back home to us. He deserves a fighting chance.
