Help Birmingham LGBT make our Cafe Covid-safe

For almost 20 years, Birmingham LGBT has been helping to support & enrich the LGBTQ+ community in Birmingham. Along with providing services such as sexual health testing, domestic violence support and counselling, our Café space in the LGBT Centre has provided a safe, sober space for the community.

We've hosted community groups in this space for a number of years, along with our annual Christmas party. We will also soon be able to announce our new Café provider, making the Café a place where any LGBT person can come and hang out in a safe, non-judgemental space.

Unfortunately, since the Covid-19 pandemic began, due to the lack of adequate ventilation in the Café we’ve been unable to use the space.

We need your help to cover the cost of replacing the Café windows with ones that can be opened, to improve ventilation. This will mean we can safely begin bring in our new Café provider, invite groups back to the centre, and the Café can open in a way that protects the staff and the community who use it.
