A Survivor Re-establishing Their Life in Oregon

I am supporting a beloved single-parent family who has experienced a devastating life change. To protect the privacy of the individuals involved, I am not disclosing their name, but these are folks that I know personally and love dearly.

The parent in the family was recently sexually assaulted by a member of the community where they were living, and for their safety moved back to southern Oregon to be in a closer support system. This move requires starting over - including finding a new job - and they are facing an expensive rental market.

While they’re getting back on their feet and securing a job and housing, I’m raising funds to help them pay for the large expense of paying first and last month’s rent + deposit in the current difficult rental market, which is particularly challenging for a single-parent family. All funds will go toward rent and deposits.
