What do you mean no home care is available???

I'm Becka and Rebecca, my dear friend, is fighting her 2nd type of Cancer. Her fiancé, Shawn, has asked for help.

Rebecca had her first battle with Cancer 2019/2020, she had ovarian cancer and had to have a full hysterectomy and chemo. She had chemo alone during the worse of Covid. Her thick dark hair left her and she was so ill. There were issues finding a proper chemo pill but one was tolerated and there was hope. Then the markers started to rise and we all held our breath. She is only 45! She loves language and has a quirky humor. So we awaited the news and after being hospitalized discovered it was now Colon Cancer stage 4. She has had another operation to remove part of her colon, it's in her liver and lymph nodes also. She is unable to work and her partner is allowed time off but its unpaid.

She was just back in the hospital and had fallen before the ambulance arrived. She had an infection and now is back home. She isn't well, she is sleeping, delirious, and can not be alone. Shawn is taking off time but has to go to work, other friends and I were stopping in for an hr a day before this last incident but that won't be enough now.

The hospital said Wellcare has no one in the area that will do home health care. If he stays home they have no income, if he goes to work she is unsafe and alone. The struggle of paying for prescriptions not covered by insurance, unpaid time off, and extra medical expenses for home care is taking its toll.

Please consider helping them. She deserves to have basic health care and her basic home needs met. Share this with others and help her fight this battle again.
