What Happened To Anthony?
Most of us have been made aware of the tragic events that happened at Austin East High School Monday.
On April 12th, 2021, Anthony Thompson Jr., a 17 year old high school student, was fatally shot by Knoxville Police at Austin East Magnet High School in Knoxville, Tennessee. The initial report stated there was an active school shooter. The media and city government tried to paint Anthony, the victim, as responsible for the tragedy. As of yet the Knoxville Police Department has not released the calls, body cam nor school videos to the family or explained why the Crisis Negotiation Unit was not called to defuse the situation. The family deserves to know what happened to their loved one and they deserve justice. On top of the grief of losing a child, the family is now faced with the unexpected expense of laying Anthony to rest. Anthony’s family has requested us to help gather funds for his burial and memorial ceremony, as well as grief and trauma counseling for his loved ones. We ask that you give to allow the family to honor the life of a child that should never have been taken.
Chanada Robinson, the mother, will use all funds raised through this site will go towards covering funeral and burial expenses, mental health and grief counseling for Anthony’s family, and to helping his family in their fight for transparency. The family wants answers, deserves transparency and the truth about what happened to Anthony
