Wheelchair Ramp & Adaptive Seating for London.
Donation protected
Our son has several medical conditions since being born 3 months early that caused him to miss all the milestones a 4 year old would achieve outside grasping for objects and kicking his legs. He has Cerebral Palsy, Hydrocephalus resulting in brain damage and severe global delay, Seizure Disorder, CVI Grade 2 and can't speak yet, feed himself, walk or hold his head up. As a result of these conditions he requires an adaptive seating wheel chair. In order to get a wheel chair that can be put on the special needs bus and also fits his needs for support etc. he must have a ramp.
In order for the insurance company to pay ($7,046) for the chair we must have a ramp built before they approve it. We have the option to buy it ourselves for $3,800 and then once it is approved they have to build it. Everything needs to be completed by September 3rd, 2019!
The lowest cost I can get for the ramp is $3,500 using pressure treated wood and concrete etc. and paint. We are trying to get additional resources to help with this but the systems designed to help with this are slow have been constructed to say "no" as many times as possible it seems, even if it is medically evident we need them.
We pride ourselves on taking care of things ourselves as much as possible but this time line makes that unattainable alone...
If you would like to donate please do and if you can't please forward this to someone who might.
Thank you very much,
