Wheelchair Ramp for Ben

Hi, I’m Trish Moore or Aunt Trish as Ben knows me. I’m asking for donations for a wheelchair ramp for Benjamin Herman Ben is 22 years old. He was born with down syndrome, autism, and now has epilepsy. Ben has very poor vision. He has limited sight in one eye, and he’s blind in the other. The doctor said Ben would never walk as he has very low muscle tone. Ben is a fighter. He has been fighting from his very first day in this world, Ben showed the doctors he can walk. He can walk very short distances with assistance, as he is getting older, his ankles are getting weaker with epilepsy he can have a seizure at any time without warning This does not stop Ben he loves music not just any music. He loves rock ‘n’ roll. He loves food and he loves to go for car rides. As he is getting older it is getting harder to get him out of the wheelchair and up the steps to go into the house. With the epilepsy episodes that happen without notice it is no longer safe for Ben to get out of the wheelchair and climb the stairs. The need for the wheelchair ramp is a safety issue for Ben and also for his mom and sister as they have to hold him up to go up the stairs. Ben lives with his mom, Ruth and his sister Becca. Ruth has exhausted all the community organizations that help with wheelchair ramps they say she makes too much money. She went to the bank and they say she did not make enough money. Ruth works full-time at Ben’s school as an instructional assistant this is why I am asking you, family, friends, church and the community to fund this project. Ruth has always depended on God’s promise that he would never leave her or forsake her and with God all things are possible. This is a real need, and every penny will go to the wheelchair ramp and improving Bens safety .
