Wheelchair Ramp for Susan
Donation protected
Our dear, Susan Harding, has suffered from very complicated health issues over the past two years -- respiratory failure, multiple infections, sprained ankles, etc., all resulting in limited mobility. She has been hospitalized at least seven times -- each hospitalization has been followed by a stay in a rehab facility. Susan is currently in Forest Park Health Center & Rehabilitation. The physical therapy staff there are requiring a ramp to be installed at her home's front door, before her discharge.
There is a ramp at the back/breezeway door, but the incline is too steep for use with a walker. The company which installed the back/breezeway door, 101 Mobility, indicated they could install the front door ramp for $2,300.
Susan's long journey with health issues and the complications, have placed a heavy economic burden on her and her husband, Bob’s, finances. For anyone who is fortunate enough to have Susan in their life, they know that she is the most giving and supportive person. Her thoughtfulness and love of others is always evident -- the cards she sends for birthdays and holidays, and the special gifts! How many of you have been blessed with a unique gift she chose just for you, or one of her special baked goods?! On every occasion I spend time with her, Susan expresses her happiness or worry for a particular friend, neighbor, niece, nephew, sibling, or even pet -- her love for and interest in you is so sincere and authentic.
Let’s show Susan, we too, care about her. Any amount will help . . . $5 or $50 . . . let’s raise this $2,300, and raise her a new ramp! Thank you!
