Wheelchair Repair for T

Donation protected
Last Sunday (2/4) The Sales family woke up to discover that their car had been stolen out of their driveway. More devastating than the loss of the car, however, was the realization that their ten-year-old daughter's wheelchair and power assist were in the car. The wheelchair and power assist are valued around $20,000 and far exceeded the value of the car and other items in it.

The car was recovered, but the wheelchair had been reduced to parts and is missing pieces. It's estimated that repairs will be around $3000 out of pocket to get the chair useable again. While this is much better than a total loss, it's still a major expense for something that is essential for a kid's mobility.

T has a form of muscular dystrophy and needs her wheelchair to get around school. While her teachers have been helpful in accommodating her situation, having her independence through mobility allows her to do normal kid things like participate in recess and get around school.

Any funds raised will go towards repairs and replacement parts for T's wheelchair. Let's get this girl her wheels!
