Wheelchair Van for Rick & Lisa Peterson

As many of you may already know, our beloved Rick and Lisa Peterson are together in a season of uncertainty surrounding their health. Rick suffered from a stroke one year ago, in November 2021 and has been receiving inpatient care at The Vermont’s Veterans Home in Bennington, Vermont since he was discharged from the hospital in December 2021. Rick has made tremendous improvements from where he started last December, but still relies on others to function day-to-day. Through all of this, Lisa, has remained faithful and steadfast, standing by Rick’s side as he recovers at The Veterans Home. She has visited Rick almost every day, sometimes twice a day, since he’s been at The Veterans Home. Along with the many visits Rick has received from his friends and family, the visits from Lisa have seemed to be the ones he looks forward to most.

Rick, who is currently wheelchair-bound, is now in need of a wheelchair van. Many people through the past months, weeks and days have reached out asking how they can help and show their support for Rick and Lisa. Our response has been to please pray for both Rick and Lisa and The Peterson Family as a whole. And that is still our #1 response. But in addition, we are asking Rick and Lisa’s friends and family to help secure a wheelchair van for Rick. The wheelchair van will not only allow Rick to more easily attend his doctor / personal appointments but will, more importantly, allow Rick to also visit and see his dear wife, Lisa at home! (YAY!)

We are so grateful for the support we have already received and look forward to driving this Wheelchair Van Go-Fund Me Fundraiser to the finish line (Hopefully before Thanksgiving - so The Petersons can all be together once again for the 2022 Holiday Season)!
