“Have you ever seen God’s light shine down on someone? Have you ever seen such a strong passion for life in another’s eyes that it makes you look within and inspire you to improve?

This is the kind of person who gives back to his community, takes part in charity events, a trustworthy father, and a friend of all friends. If you’ve never met a person like this. Many of you have known him for years or maybe even a lifetime; so, you know the kindness in which we are referring to. Always there to help a friend, children adore him, a brother to many, and supporter to all.

On April 11, 2010, Dennis suffered injuries from a motorcycle accident that has left him with damage to his spinal cord. This has been classified as a C4- 5 incomplete with sensation. This in turn means he is not paralyzed; he has feeling throughout both arms and legs. Since the accident, Dennis has been in a wheelchair, and although not yet standing on his own, he continues to make great progress in his rehabilitation.

A therapy offered at by the Brooks rehab center has been proven over and over again, even on patients with greater injuries than Dennis. The therapy presents a neurologist to work with the physical therapists to create a more aggressive approach for stimulating voluntary muscle movement. This type of treatment is imperative to our friend Dennis. we have faith that he would benefit tremendously and assist him with regaining his independence.

We need Dennis in our community. He has brought joy to so many with his generosity and compassion. Here is our chance to cheer him on and be a part of his INDEPENDENCE. Let us come together and lift him up in prayer, be on his team, show our support for him and give back the generosity and compassion that he has given to so many.
