Wheeler Stutzman Family

A few weeks ago a co-worker got some devastating news. Her beloved was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure, his heart was only operating @ 10% and they rushed him off to Presby Hospital in Pittsburgh. They were told he would be put on the Heart Transplant list. Jim is a young man, a man who worked hard for his family, a man without health insurance, a man who is all heart, needs a heart!  This was and is a life altering and overwhelming event for this family.   Since then,  they have had to make many changes, as Jim is no longer able to work and is tired out just walking  for brief periods of time. Throughout it all, Beth has cared for him and her 3 children, working a full time job and trying to manage all the needs of her family. She is a warrior, I tell you! Refusing to throw in the towel … but she is only human, and is weary and worried for her family! As I work with her daily, I see her "carry on" with grace & dignity, inspiring to say the least! These words ring loudly in my ears "There but for the grace of God go I".   I understand hearing things like "poor prognosis" and "make the most of your time"  all to well. I was once faced with it head on and it just about broke me. Maybe you too have faced a crisis in your life and wondered how you might get through the month, the week, the day!
