Only so much we can do with our bikes. We need our Van!

Our transportation van is dead! We have been blessed for 5 years with a 2007 passenger van generously donated to us in 2018. We have used it so much that the van now has over 200 thousand miles on it and the transmission no longer works. It is NOT DRIVABLE and we need one desperately.

A new or slightly used transportation van ranges in price from $40,000 to $60,000. The van we have been using for 5 years has allowed The Wheelhouse to take men to get help with their medical and legal challenges, take men to recovery meetings as well as do service work in the community.

Without a van, we are stuck in place. We are not able to get our men transported to the medical, legal, and support services they desperately need.

The Wheelhouse has been in Deer Park for over 70 years and serves 74 adult men who want to recover from their addictions to drugs and alcohol.

Our main goal is to partner with donors and volunteers to provide a supportive environment and recovery tools where men can free themselves from the grip of alcohol and drug addiction. These men return to society as functional, useful, productive fathers, employees, and loved ones.

This GoFundMe for a transportation van will be on through Dec 30.

Of course, if a kind soul with a late-model 12 to 15-passenger van would like to donate one, we will shut down this fundraiser immediately.
