Although the GoFundMe is based in Canada, rest assured that every penny raised will directly fuel the growth of the Ugandan Skateboard Union’s initiatives. Unfortunately, GoFundMe is blocked in Uganda, necessitating the campaign to operate from Canada. As a Canadian who has forged strong ties with Uganda through marriage and land ownership, I have had the privilege of witnessing the incredible impact skateboarding has on the lives of Ugandan youth. Being a passionate skater myself, I felt a profound calling to support these talented individuals in achieving their dreams.
