Jaime is a 9 year old boy who has undergone multiple hurdles in his short life. He was born with a hypoplastic left heart requiring three open heart surgeries to repair. On June 1, 2006, Jaime underwent his first open heart surgery successfully. He was reaching all of his milestones prior to his second open heart surgery. October 4, 2006 was the day that changed the lives of the Venancio family forever. During his second open heart surgery Jaime suffered complications which led to a stroke that caused him to have uncontrollable seizures for hours. These seizures led to brain damage affecting his motor skills that we take for granted in our everyday life such as walking, talking, grasping at objects, and so much more. Over the next couple of years Jaime was faced with many more obstacles such as epilepsy, cerebral palsy, insertion of a feeding tube, Ketogenic diet, third open heart surgery, hip surgery as well as very intensive physical therapy throughout his nine years.

Jaime has devoted parents and family members who have encouraged and supported him through the years to find the best avenues to better his life. They are always looking for new and different ways to enable Jaime to live his life to the fullest. Although we are hopeful that one day Jaime will overcome all of his challenges, it’s with an open heart and loving arms that we humbly request your assistance with monetary donations in order to provide Jaime with SUV truck with a wheelchair lift that he and his family desperately need in order to bring him to all of his medical appointments, therapy and daily needs.
