WHEN CANCER STRIKES BOTH PARENTS!

A little over a year and a half ago, our friend  Susan Krieger was diagnosed with advanced colon cancer.  

Incredibly,  only six months later , her husband  Howard who was not feeling well and  losing a significant amount of  weight was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. 

For the past year,  they  have both been underdoing rigorous chemotherapy treatments.    At the same time they have been supporting their family.   Susan is a behaviorist servicing intellectual disabled adults in group home settings.  Howard who is a clinical and forensic psychologist has been unable to work since December.

It  has been a long battle and at the end of January,  Howard was brought home from the hospital under hospice care .  At the same time  Susan was told she had to face another six months of chemotherapy. 

Susan and Howard have been married for 27 years  and are the loving parents to 6 amazing children who have supported them through these months.  They have both  given  back so much to their community both personally and professionally for the past 30 years .

Sadly on the eve of this appeal , Howard passed away in his home with his family.  So many family and friends have asked over the last 18 months what they can do.  If you can, please help show your support to them, no gift is too small and so appreciated.
