When the Unknown Strikes, Family Comes Together!

Hello Everyone! I'm Emily Maples, Kala Schoppe's cousin. We are starting this fundraiser to help Kala and her family out during this unexpected and uncharted situation we have found ourselves in. The thing we need most are prayers, Jesus will make a way! If anyone is in the position to be able to help out every little thing helps and is very much appreciated.
Alaina is 9 years old, a twin and just an absolutely beautiful light God put in Kala's and all of the families lives. Since around Thanksgiving, Alaina has been getting really bad headaches. Kala has taken her to the drs here in Junction and to the ER, they all gave different reasons as to what was happening but the headaches kept coming. Medicine did not work. The headaches progressed into migraines, vision impairment and vomiting. Monday, January 15th, Alaina had a very rough night so Kala took her to the ER in Kerrville. Almost as soon as they got there, the drs knew something more was at play. They did a CT and found a mass on Alaina's brain. She was air flighted to San Antonio where they did more tests and we now know will be doing surgery to remove the tumor on Friday. At this point, this is all we know regarding the actual health issues. More tests will be done and more information will come to light. All we can do right now is wait and pray.
We do know that after the surgery to remove the tumor, Alaina will be in the hospital for at least another week while they run tests and make sure everything is taken care of. During this time, and the whole time since they first got to the hospital, Kala has not left Alaina's side. Due to these circumstances Kala has been on a leave from work and is not sure when she will be able to return. Her job has been amazing and understanding and know that she must put her child first.
The money donated here will go to helping Kala with every day expenses that are needed while away from home for so long, gas money, food, clothes. The leave to the hospital was so sudden and we were all completely unprepared for what was coming. The donations here will also go to paying rent, utility bills, groceries, etc as Kala has 4 other kids who rely on their mom to get by day to day. Something we are hoping to pull off is getting the money to replace the tires on Kala's car. Kala is currently stranded in San Antonio, her car is parked here at the apartments. We need to get the tires in order to get the car inspected and new registration, once that is done, we can get the car to her in SA.
We want to do our best to take any stress away from Kala so her focus can be on Alaina and her health. Again, the thing we need most are prayers and if you have the ability to, please help us to alleviate the stress from an already very stressful situation.
Alaina, family calls her Buggie :) , is one of the sweetest little girls you could ever meet. A spit fire personality and will have you laughing until you side hurts. She has told Kala and her Nanny that all she wants is to be normal again. Jesus will make that happen for her <3 Her twin, Amiley, and her sister Layla and brothers Noah and Jr are all anxiously waiting for when their sister will come home to them. Please keep the entire family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this new, uncharted chapter of life.
Again, any donations are greatly appreciated and we will give updates as we receive them.
May God Bless each one of you and your families.
