Amazing 8 Year Old Needing Help From Community

• Hello, My name is Ashley. I’m better known as Aunt Ashley to my amazing Nephew, Lyric. I like to call him LYRCH. He’s an energetic and happy 8 year old boy. Lyric came into this world a lot earlier than anyone expected, weighing only 3 pounds. As he got a bit older, he used to tell me “I’m not small, I’m big” he was right, his heart has always been big and full of love for everyone around him. He’s always been one of the biggest lights in his parents’ lives, sisters, Grandparents, Aunts, cousins, Uncles, etc. Now he needs the people he loves more than ever. To put everything in a compact explanation; Lyric has been through a whirlwind this past month of declining health that has lead to the following. A few nights ago, His parents rushed him to the ER and at the end of the visit, it was evident that he be airlifted to another hospital immediately and at one point his brave heart stopped beating but thank God, they were able to revive him. His parents are reliving the the the emotional trauma of when he was in the NICU for that long period of time when he was born. It’s hard to see your child hooked up to machines that are helping to keep him stable. Now his parents have to split their time between being with Lyric and work and their other children. I am hoping to ease at least one worry that they have by reaching out to the community and family and friends for help for Medical expenses.
  

If you even just say a prayer, that would mean the world to all of us. Lyric is a big believer in Jesus Christ and we know he has angels by his side. BJC Childrens hospital has the best Heart Team of experts doing everything they can for Lyric.
