Earthquake Relief for Northwest Syria

Raed al Saleh, the head of the White Helmets, first responders in Syria
A week has passed since the earthquake first struck Syria. Now we need urgent support for the survivors.
My White Helmets volunteers saved thousands from the rubble. The next phase of our response is recovery.
We cannot do this without your support. Please act now.
All of this suffering has added to the existing acute humanitarian crisis in northwest Syria. People devastated by 12 years of civil war, mass displacement and a cholera outbreak are now facing an even graver situation. Many are homeless, some for the third or fourth time, with nowhere to go in freezing temperatures. Syrians affected by the earthquake in Turkiye are coming across the border with no homes to go to.
We urgently need more support to serve our communities of 4.5 million people. We are deeply grateful for the solidarity and support shown by the people of the United Kingdom since our establishment. With your help we’ve saved over 125,000 lives since 2014.
We are recovering the bodies of the dead so their families can bury them with dignity. Teams are surveying the safety of homes and public buildings, securing sites, removing rubble and reopening roads. Specialised teams are removing unexploded bombs to make areas safe for civilians. Our fleet of heavy vehicles are leveling areas to make way for temporary shelter camps for the displaced. Healthcare professionals are touring shelters of the homeless to provide medical and psychological care to survivors.
This photo shows a morning in Mira where there are many children in temporary shelters that were set up to house the survivors affected by the earthquake.
Our task ahead is enormous. Help us
This fundraiser is raising donations for the same purpose as our US GoFundMe fundraiser. The difference is that this page is raising donations in Great British Pounds so that our UK supporters have an easier time supporting our efforts. Both fundraisers support the White Helmet's efforts to help those impacted by the earthquake in Syria.
100% of your donation will come to the White Helmets via the Voices Project UK, a trusted partner for receiving White Helmets donations, less the fees charged by the processor. If the Voices Project is unable to use your contribution for the purpose originally specified, it is their policy to use your contribution to support further campaigning on critical issues in line with our mission to support Syria’s civil society in their struggle for freedom and democracy. This fundraiser accepts donations in GBP but we would very much welcome donations from other countries and currencies, which will go through currency conversion. Please check with your bank for any conversion charges.
