Whitney's Story; Lung Transplant
Donation protected
Whitney was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at 5 months old. On March 12, 2011 she had a double lung transplant at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. There have been many set backs and bumps in the road.
September 2014 , Whit was diagnosed with Chronic rejection. She spent almost 7 months in the hospital fighting for her life. She is now home on a ventilator. Her mom is a single mom who is her sole caregiver. It could be 6 months before her mom is able to work. They were promised nursing staff to help at home and come to find out, it could be months before that happens. They now have housing expenses etc. Any help will be appreciated. We have to get Whit stronger to be considered for another transplant out of state. We can only focus on today and keep pushing forward. You can read all updates on her public page on Facebook. It is titled Find The Joy In The Journey; Whitney's Story. We are going to continue to fight and pull through this. One step at a time. One prayer at a time. We have an awesome God. We can do ALL THINGS through CHRIST who strengthens us! We are standing on the promise! We will see many blessings!
