Whittington Community Centre Windows
Whittington Community Centre needs your help!
• Hi, we have a lovely, bright and light community centre that many of you will know of, perhaps your children attend Whittington under Fives play group, Brownies or ballet?
• The centre originally was the village school until a new and bigger building was built in the 1970’s. The community then rallied around to purchase it from the Church of England in 1974. We now ask you again for help, to replace rotting windows, with proper double glazed units, to preserve it for future generations to use and serve the local community.
• We are a small committee that works hard to keep it in good order for future generations to use and enjoy this space. We manage the day to day running bills, insurances, maintenance etc, but we really need to replace quite a few windows and we can’t afford to do this without help!
• We have arranged to have the two windows in the Rainbow Room replaced during half term, as they are in the worst condition, they are corroded and crumbling. In the past we have fitted Perspex panels in front of windows to keep some of the heat in and bad weather out! This was only ever a short term solution.
• We kindly ask can you make a donation towards the purchase of these windows and keep this building in good order and build a legacy for future generations.
Thank you!
