Justin’s recovery

Hi I’m Danni, and i’m raising money to help my sweet friend Sarah and her beautiful baby boy, Justin

Sarah and her Husband, Nathan are living a nightmare right now. The last thing they need to worry about is money.

Monday morning Justin (16 months) and his twin sister were playing happily. Justin woke from a nap in the afternoon absolutely hysterical. Running around thrashing and everything. Completely inconsolable. His twin sister was fine. 

Later that afternoon he became floppy and could not move his arms. Sarah took him to Noarlunga emergency. They transferred him to flinders. There he could no longer stand. They noted he also required oxygen and wanted to do tests.

They did bloods, CAT Scan, and nothing showed up. Decided he needed to be transferred to Womens and Childrens to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

When he arrived he was getting worse, ended up unable to breathe on his own or move his arms or legs. He was then intubated. He has a Central line, and is intubated. And sedated.

His tiny arms and legs have been splinted as his circulation is obviously poor. He wears these for 2 hours every 2 hours at the moment.

They did and MRI- he has swelling on the brain and spinal cord. They did a spinal tap, but that has shown nothing.

This is a 16 month old beautiful baby boy, who has a twin sister, Taylor. He was absolutely fine over the weekend and during the day Monday, until the afternoon. 

He and his family mean the world to us. He (and his sister) are a little over a month younger than my sweet twins. 

Sarah and her husband Nathan are obviously going to financially struggle. Nathan has been home with Justins twin sister, Taylor and their 2 older children Hayley (9) and Lucas (12), obviously not working.

Her family are wonderful and doing all they can- but obviously they are worried about losing their home and not being able to provide for their other children while Nathan cannot work.

Sorry if this is scrambled. I can barely see through my tears. I’m trying to keep the emotion out and state facts to get help for him and his family while he is working hard on healing up and getting better.
