About the Project

Writing has always been escapism for me, I get lost in imagination when I can't explain or understand reality, and that was no different when it came to understanding myself.

I wrote Alex and Erin when I was struggling with my identity - I was lost and confused and so I put those thoughts and feelings into fictional characters and I went on a journey with them. They helped me grow and understand myself and as I grew more confident, so did they. I was able to give them the happy ending that I so desperately craved, and in turn, was granted. I want to share this with other people who are struggling. I know that my experience is not unique, I know that people struggle and are in pain, and are confused, and I want to share my story in hopes of giving them a bit of peace and piece of mind. I want to show them that they too, after living this challenging life, can have a happy ending. That it can get better. These people don’t necessarily need to be gay or queer, they could be struggling with any different crisis under the sun, the overarching theme of this story is that you need to trust yourself, believe in yourself and let yourself succeed.

I may not be the only person in the world capable of sharing this type of story, but I am the only one capable of sharing this type of story through my own experiences.  A main objective of this film is to add to LGBTQ+  representation in the media and I hope that this film will resonate with members of the community and they will be able to see themselves accurately portrayed.

With your help and generous donation I believe that this story can help someone who is struggling. I wrote this script to help myself get through my broken adolescence because I was alone and had nobody else to talk to. I want this film to be the starting point for someone who may be in the same position. I want them to watch these characters, connect and see themselves, and realize that who they are is okay, and who they are is exactly who they are supposed to be.

All donations received will be going directly to the creation of this film.
