WHO DAT ? Brian IAMPOSITIVE Weiss

To those of you who know Brian "IAMPOSITIVE" Weiss, you know just how accurate that middle name is for him. Sadly, Brian, his wife Brooke, and their three school age daughters lost everything, and I mean everything, to the devastating floods in Houston. All that remains are the clothes they had on. Even their shoes were lost when they were forced to swim out of their home to safety. They have been stranded in a neighbor's raised two- story home since Sunday.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time Brian and his family have experienced such devastation. Exactly 12 years ago today, Hurricane Katrina swept away everything they had worked their whole lives for. As a Commander with the New Orleans Police Department, Brian selflessly put himself in harm's way to rescue countless citizens of New Orleans. Brian was separated from his family for months while risking his life to help keep others safe throughout the city. Brian served 31 years on the NOPD before retiring to Houston where he and Brooke thought it would be "quieter".
The painful physical and emotional toll that Katrina took on Brian, Brooke and their girls makes it unfathomable that this could actually happen to them a second time. Brian, Brooke, and their girls will once again start over. They are most grateful just to be alive and to have one another in order to build their lives back. The outpouring of prayers, well wishes and offers for help and assistance have been overwhelming and greatly appreciated by Brian and his family.
I am hopeful that through this Go Fund Me page, we can all show Brian, Brooke and their daughters just how contagious POSITIVITY can be.
