LOOK AT THOSE MAGUMBOS! ‘cuz soon they’ll be gone.

Howdy folks,

If you don’t know me - I’m Robyn, my pronouns are they/them and I’m a transmasc person who is seeking support in funding my gender-affirming surgery in the UK later this year ❤️

I always felt (and still do feel) that there are people out there who deserve funding or gender affirming surgery more than me. Like those who are younger and have it worse than me simply because I’m older and I’ve lived in this body for longer (so I should be used to it by now, right?). With the help of therapy, I realised I felt this way because I wasn’t allowing myself to believe that this was attainable for me at the ripe old age of 34. After years of binding and taping, of slouching to minimise my chest, of dressing in a way to hide unwanted lumps and bumps - I’m taking the steps to finally feel comfortable in my body.

I have a vivid memory of being so stressed about my chest developing during puberty and my mum would shake her E cup boobs at me and say “this is your futuuuuurrrrreeee”, like a South London Elvira: Mistress of the Dark. Looking back it’s hilarious and definitely where I get my sense of humour from, but in the moment - I was terrified.

So, in September 2024, after a successful surgery referral assessment, I will be undergoing chest wall surgery (double incision) and nipple graft and proving my mum wrong about my chest's future. Sorry, mum.

I’m crowdfunding to help towards the cost of the surgery and everything that comes with it. I have managed to save a good amount of money to self-fund a big chunk of the costs, but private healthcare is expensive and I need help!

This is on top of the gender therapies and medical referrals I’ve already invested in to get to this point. 

Any amount is appreciated and goes a long way. If you’re unable to donate (I get it, there’s a cost of living crisis) even just sharing this will be amazing support.
