WHS Empty Bowls for Greater Boston Food Bank
Tax deductible
Ceramics students at Westwood High School are raising funds for The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) to help the 1 in 8 people in Eastern Massachusetts currently struggling with hunger, including 1 in 5 children.
We are doing this by having an Empty Bowl Fundraiser: creating beautiful, handmade ceramic bowls for sale! Each bowl took about 2-5 hours to craft, depending on size, and each time there are small details in the crafting and glazing that make each work unique.
To participate:
1. If you'd just like to support our effort to raise funds for the GBFB without purchasing a bowl, please make a donation directly to this GoFundMe page. Please be as generous as you can. (It's a great cause!)
2. To purchase a bowl, please first visit our Empty Bowls Google Site.
3. Once you choose a bowl and know the amount you'd like to donate, then donate directly to this GoFundMe page. Write in the Comment Box (on this GoFundMe page) which bowl you have purchased, identifying it by title: "I'd like to claim the SpiderMan Bowl"! If you're the first one to claim that bowl, it's YOURS! Otherwise, you can choose a different bowl.
4. If you don't see the Comment Box, please just email me. Just to clarify, I'll be writing your name under the "SOLD!" comment, so you know it's yours. Again, if you see someone else's name there, please choose a different bowl.
5. Bowl pick up will be outside on tables in front of the high school, theater entrance, on June 3-4, during the school day, 7:45-3pm. We will use an honor system for pick up. You can just swing by to pick up your labeled bowl. Please remember the name of your bowl!
Thank you for participating! And enjoy your beautiful, handmade, ceramic bowl!
