WHS Handicap Accessible Classroom
Donation protected
As a senior at Watertown High School, my capstone was to create a handicap accessible outdoor classroom in a space that was once an abandoned courtyard. When I was physically bullied in 7th grade, I had a chair pulled out from underneath me which led to me getting a concussion that lasted almost two years. I was medically excused for most classes in middle school as I lost the ability to read and write from the fall. During this time, I would spend those class periods creating unforgettable bonds with the students in the special education classroom. These students, my new friends for life, taught me what true happiness is. I believe that these students cured me from my concussion and shaped me into the person I am today. I hope to create a space that will bring as much joy to their lives as they have brought into mine. This fundraiser will purchase wheelchair accessible outdoor tables as well as benches and flowers to make a space both beautiful but useful to every student and staff at Watertown High School. Please share this page to allow these students and the rest of WHS to have this beautiful space finished before I head off to college!!
