Wick-Lybster Line & Thrumster Station Fundraiser
Please support our efforts to restore and maintain historic Thrumster Station, and to make other improvements to the Wick-Lybster Line. We have a vision of lengthening our short section of track, and finding an engine to run on the rails!
The Wick and Lybster Light Railway was a light railway opened in 1903, with the intention of opening up the fishing port of Lybster, in Caithness, Scotland, to the railway network at Wick. When the line was operational, the station at Lybster represented the furthest station on the entire UK rail network, being 738 rail miles from London Euston.
Donations are being accepted through our sister charity, the Association of Northern Trails Scotland, another registered charity, until our own charity account can be set up.
