I am the Founder of True Solutions Cleaning and I am asking for urgent assistance with a situation that I can’t handle on my own. I need the community to help support me with an emergency affecting one of our elderly retired widows in need. She has no income and no means of taking care of herself. Her situation is below:
She inherited a home, used her life savings to renovate it for use as a rental and secure income and then she was taken advantage of by tenants who destroyed the house.
These tenants severely neglected their pets by keeping them inside. Urine and feces were left everywhere destroying the brand new cabinets and counters. It also settled deep into the flooring damaging all the hardwood. Large amounts of mud were also found throughout the house, along with cut marks in the bathtub. The furnace is broken. The gas/heat cannot be turned on. This was a unit she purchased herself and now it's beyond repair. The basement panels are also destroyed and need to be replaced along with the kitchen sink. It doesn’t work at all and needs entirely new plumbing in place. To make matters worse, the tenants left the house full of empty alcohol bottles and without paying seven months of rent.
Not knowing what to do, she hired me to help with deep cleaning. I gave her the lowest rates possible and have done $2000 worth of work, including patching up damaged doors and disinfecting and mopping several times. The odour is still in the laminate. There is no way to rent this home as it is. I have never seen a home this disgusting and damaged in all my years of cleaning. Even though all the cleaning is done, it's still hard to breathe in the air indoors because the filth has seeped into everything.
She used her pension to cover the cleaning cost. She has no other means of paying her bills and doesn’t know if she will now have to live in that house or what to do. When I told her we would help and that there were people out there that would look out for her, she broke down in tears. She doesn't believe anyone out there will. Let's show her otherwise.
Situations like this remind me of Prophet Job and how he lost everything dear to him. This was a huge test. When he asked God to help him, all was restored very quickly. We want to reach the target within 2 weeks and because it will take a few months to repair and then rent. So please, everyone make this as urgent as it would be if your mother was in crisis.
This will be an ongoing act of charity for everyone as long as it stands. It will keep giving towards her basic needs and when she passes her family will have some ease because of it. We should want ease for others as we want it for ourselves. Much of our relief from hardships comes when we focus on doing the right actions for others.
Please help us get this house in good condition. Your help will go a long way. Together, we can get this home rented ASAP.
